Treatments

Clinical Psychology/Psychotherapy

Our Clinical Psychologists are specialists in the assessment and treatment of mental health problems and psychological distress. They are trained in a variety of evidenced-based psychological interventions across a range of mental health presentations.

Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy is a way of talking with a young person that seeks to get to understand worrying behaviours or emotional states. Psychotherapists are trained to be particularly observant of play or language, such that they are able to understand the underlying feelings and conflicts that patient’s may struggle to put into words.

Psychiatry

A Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist offers families the advantages of medical interventions, including - where appropriate - holding medical responsibility for providing comprehensive care.

Psychiatrists evaluate mental health problems with attention to its physical, genetic, developmental, emotional, cognitive, educational, family, peer, and social components. Together with the patient and their family, the psychiatrist will arrive at a diagnostic formulation and agree a treatment plan.
